THE ENDING OF HIDDEN AGENDAS

FINALLY. I'm putting THE END on Hidden Agenda's sometime tonight I would expect. I have the last scene to write and then a little tweak here and then and its off.
*big sigh* This has been one of my harder books to write. I started it last May, went through about 40 different versions, and NO I am not joking over that.
The problem was, the title. Sometimes the idea in my head just doesn't suit a title, and once I realized what the problem was I was already more than 20 attempts into the book and I decided I was going to do this, with this title, one way or the other. Yeah, sometimes I'll cut my own nose to spite my face. LOL
I started this version, totally new version by the way, two days after Tanner's Scheme completed. I'd have to check dates on that, but maybe its been a month. Once I figured out how to twist the title, it got easier.
The challenges I'm facing in writing for Berkley and St. Martins have been exilerating. (Did I spell that right? LOL) I love it.
And I hope you enjoy Hidden Agenda's when it releases. Its the fourth book in the SEALs and OHHH do I have ideas on where to go when I finish the final two books. I'm jumping up and down I'm so excited over it.
Next up, after I finish this one, is the first St. Martins single title Bound Hearts. I've been itching to start this book as I've found a new perspective step into. The heroes and heroine have really been pushing at me to get this started. I'll have more information for you once its started.
Until then, be watching the blog, as soon as Hidden Agenda's completes I'll be posting an excerpt.
And don't forget to read Reno's Chance in the Honk If You Love Real Men anthology, now available through amazon.com or wwww.dreamsbynight.com And coming in February is the second book, a single title Dangerous Games. Also in February is the third book in the series with a secondary character as the hero in the Real Men Do It Better Anthology, For Maggies Sake. FMS continues the SEALs fight against the Villian that you meet in Dangerous Games.
Thank you all for your support, your emails, and for putting up with me being absent from the loops etc. The schedule I'm on from this point to the end of the year will be even tougher, but your encouragement keeps me going. And most especially, thank you so much for enjoying my books so far.

I was sent a very interesting article, one I thought many of you might be interested in as well as readers on the erotica/erotic romance lines to be found on the shelves now.

http://dearauthor.com/wordpress/2006/09/18/what-ny-publishers-dont-get-about-romantica/#comments

The site allows you to comment as well and voice your opinions, which is always a good thing. I liked it, so thought you might as well.

And now I'm back to Hidden Agendas. FINALLY I think I have this book figured out. I'm on page 230, which is almost halfway and I'm now working hard to complete it. This is the fourth SEAL book.
The first being Reno's Chance in the Honk If You Love Real Men anthology, the second a single title from St. Martins, Dangerous Games, which is one of my HOTTEST books yet I think, and the third being the novella For Maggies Sake in the Real Men Do It Better anthology due out with Dangerous Games in Feb. 07

And now, back to work for me. I hope you are all finding wonderful books to read and lots of friends to share them with.

I didn't get to write a lot today. I found a plot error in Hidden Agenda's that needed to be worked on and I wanted to think about it before I changed it. I'll be starting on that tonight after dinner. I did make arrangements to head to Lake Cumberland tomorrow though. I want to do some more research on the area and get some pictures for the next Nauti book, Nauti Nights. I have the idea fairly planted in my head but I need to see the area to see how its going to work. So we're off on a research trip tomorrow. Which will be fun. I've been putting in a lot of long hours on refinining the plot for Hidden Agendas and getting it moving so it will be a nice break I think.
Be watching the website, we're going to have an excerpt of Harmony's Way up there sometime next week. I'm really excited about the release of this book. Harmony was just special. A female Lion Breed with some interesting issues. And Lance. I feel in love with Lance. Im hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it, even if Lance did make me pull hair out. He was stubborn too.
And if you're looking for a really good book to read this week, check out Naughty Little Secrets by Shelley Bradley at
www.mybookstoreandmore.com I love Shelley's writing, and in Naughty Little Secrets, she took me on a wonderful romantic and completely sexy adventure. I think you'll enjoy it as well. And be sure to stop by the forum and chat with Shelley anytime. We have some wonderful authors that mix and mingle on the forum and we all love meeting new friends. You can find us by going to www.loraleigh.com enter the site, then click on Chat and Schedule at the side bar. Until Sunday, I hope you have great books to read, wonderful friends to share them with, and lots of coffee to keep your day moving bright.

SLAVE TO SENSATION by NALINI SINGH

Have you read Slave of Sensation by Nalini Singh?
If you haven't, then get it now! Its an incredible unique story filled with passion, love, gentleness and an emotion you don't want to miss. This was one of the most emotional and passionate books I've read in a while. I can't wait to read the next one in the series. Wonder if I could talk her out of an early read? Hmm, its worth considering. I could see me loving the next one too. LMAO
Now, back to my work in progress. *sigh* I'm gonna shoot my hero with his own gun, he's being totally stubborn.

I've decided, my husband is just ornery.
Here I am, just typing my little fingers to the
bone, working on my next book due when he informs
me, with no shame whatsoever, that he's neglected.
*rolling eyes* Neglected I ask him? How are you
neglected?
So he pulls me out of the office and into the bedroom
so I can......
No, not THAT. So I can listen to him play his guitar. LMAO
He's so neglected. LOL. He's such a man! He needed an
audience. LOL
But, I'm back to my desk. I had to go grocery shopping today for hamburger and chicken. Couldn't decide if I wanted fried chicken or meatloaf for dinner. I guess I settled on meatloaf. LOL
So now that I've decided, I can go back to work on the next Navy SEAL book, Hidden Agendas. Kell, my hero, has been so stubborn. Hopefully I have a handle on him now though. He's so into his heroine and yet so determined to save her from loving him, that sometimes, Ive wanted to pull my own hair out.
How could I create such a stubborn man.
Then I remember, I married such a man. *sigh*
So, this is today's update. LOL. It's not much I know
and until I KNOW this is going to work out, I really don't want to say much.
Remember to visit the forum when you get a chance.
Go to www.loraleigh.com click on chat and schedule, scroll down just a bit and there is the button link to the forum. The ladies there have some great times, and I often randomly choose names from the posters for surprise gifts.
Have a great day. I hope you're finding wonderful books to read and that the summer has been a wonderful one. Until later...

Good Morning.
I want to thank everyone who attended the booksigning at Radcliff Kentucky yesterday, and I want to especially thank J.R. Ward for inviting me along. We had a wonderful time. J.R. is so sweet and as always, so funny, with the ability to make everyone feel welcome and well loved. She's not just a wonderful writer, but a truly wonderful person. Be watching the website for new of our return to The Bookstore in Radcliff in March. We'll be signing there again then. I'll have that up on the site soon.
Be watching as well for information on the booksigning at Jo-Beth's books in Lexington next month, as well for the Women's Expo in Kingsport Tennessee.
Writing has been going good the last month. I wanted to get a good start on Hidden Agendas and make certain it was going to work out before I began the updates. I think I have it though. I have 138 pages but I'll be a couple of days getting back to it. I'm finishing up copy edits at present on For Maggies Sake, a novella related to my SEAL's series that releases in February. You meet the hero Joe, in Dangerous Games. Both release in February. I've very excited about the release of this new series. The SEALs are stubborn, arrogant, and they've made writing their stories an adventure in the many ways you are NOT allowed to strangled the characters in your imagination. LOL
Its an adventure, but a learning one. I'll see about posting a short excerpt soon.
Thank you all for sticking with me, for your emails and all your encouragement. Be watching the newsletter Sensuous Escapes as well, for pictures of this weekends booksigning. Special thanks to Brenda for taking those pictures for me. I truly appreciate it.

There's not much to update tonight.
Hidden' Agenda's, so far, is doing well. I'm on page 77 but I had to go to Wal Mart today and we have to clean and freeze corn. Fresh corn on the cob is so good in the middle of winter. LOL
It will be a few days before I update again, I want to make certain Hidden Agenda's is working out well before I post. I restarted the beginning, i think the ending is pretty much finished, but the beginning and middle needs revision and work. Im hoping to finish it by the 9th, but I expect it to be more like the 13th or 15th. I'm praying no later than that. But within a few days I'll update again and perhaps post a short excerpt. Also coming soon are excepts for Harmony's Way and Dangerous Games, now on pre-order at www.amazon.com I'm really excited about the coming release of these books and I hope you enjoy them.
And now, I think its bedtime for me.
Good night and pleasant dreams.
